To make hotel reservations for attending CVS 95, contact directly the Reservation Desk of the Biltmore Hotel at (305) 445-1926 or toll free number (800) 727-1926 (Hotel reservation form is given below). Specify that you are attending the "IEEE Computer Society Symposium on Computer Vision." The conference rate is $105 (The hotel may require a deposit for the first night to guarantee a reservation). This is an exceptional rate for The Biltmore, which is one of the nicest in Miami (site of the "Summit of the Americas," attended by the Heads of States from North, Central and South American countries).

The reservation cut-off date for conference block of rooms is October 17, 1995 at 5:00pm EST. The hotel may not be able to accommodate reservations made after this cut-off date, nor honor the conference room rate. Hotel may require first night's room rate plus 12.5% sales tax to guarantee a reservation, either in the form of a check, money order or major credit card. Guaranteed reservations are held until at least 6:00am the following morning at which time the reservation and deposit are forfeited. A guaranteed reservation can be canceled if notice is received at least 48 hours prior to the arrival date. A non-guaranteed reservation may not be honored after 6:00pm on the arrival date. If hotel cannot honor a guaranteed reservation, or a non-guaranteed reservation prior to 6:00pm arrival time, the hotel will assume financial responsibility for and secure ground transportation and comparable or better accommodations at the nearest hotel possible. This arrangement will be provided for as many days as the hotel is unable to accommodate the attendee. Hotel will allow name changes without penalty. The hotel check-in time is 3:00pm and check-out time is 12:00pm.

Due to the large volume of interest in the Symposium, the conference block of rooms has been filled. Furthermore, the hotel is currently sold out for Saturday night, November 18, though rooms are currently available for Sunday and after that.

We have found out that the Omni Colannade, a very nice hotel in downtown Coral Gables and about 1.5 miles from the Biltmore, offers a special weekend rate of $105. This rate is good only on the weekend, and only if you check in before Sunday. Also, availability of rooms at this rate is limited. If you still have not made hotel arrangements and plan to do so, we recommend staying at the Collanade on Saturday night and then moving to Biltmore for the rest of your trip.

Please ask for the Promotional Weekend Rate of $105. To secure a room at this rate for Saturday night, you should call as soon as possible. As stated, the Biltmore currently has rooms available from Sunday onwards, but you need to contact them immediately, as rooms are being sold quickly.
